Bunny Love
These are my bunnies that I adapted from the previous mice that I made. I'm in love with how cute these little guys are! The humility is just radiating, isn't it!? : )
They are up in my Etsy Shop too.

Trips
Since moving back to Texas, we are a lot closer to family and friends. That's mean we have been on the road. Last weekend, we went to Dallas to visit my brother. I don't have any good pictures of Sydney and her cousin, Karalyn, playing together! I'll have to snag some from sister-in-law to share with you guys. We had a good time, I got pretty sick while I was there. We lounged around which was really nice and the girls are just so cute together. When we got back, Syd and I went to visit my bestfriend, Lauren, and her new baby Riley. Riley is just 8 weeks! Sydney was pretty funny, whenever Riley would cry (which didn't happen very much) Sydney would say "Baby, be quiet!" haha. sigh. : )
Here's all of us and Sydney giving Riley a kiss.

Happy Valentine's Day Crafts
Here was my gift to Matt. These cookies are so good. The recipe is here. I used Nutella for the middle. You all know how much I love Nutella! Matt defintiely agrees with how good and additive they really are.

The next project was from a vintage craft book. These mice remind of the Sylvanian Family animals I used to play dollhouse with when I was younger. I didn't intend for the mice to become like our family, but they did: dad, mom and baby. I am excited to adapt this pattern into rabbits for Easter. Woohoo, Easter crafts! : ) Wednesday, February 13, 2008
Gift Box
So here is today's craft. It was a bunch of randomness that all came together. I made the flower from an old vintage book. With a few "extras," I decided to put it on a gift box I had. I thought the box was too bland, so then I stamped dots on it and the "enjoy." Poof! Done! Is there anything in the box? No. Is it for anyone in particular? No. It's a just a good ol' craft for absolutely no reason. And for for me, that's the best kind of craft! : )

Also, some of my felt food was sold to a wonderful lady, Tori, who posted about me in her blog yesterday. You can find it here.

Lollipop Flowers
I have seen these in multiple places: Martha Stewart and Better Homes & Gardens. They are just 5 cut-out hearts with a hole punched at the ends and the lollipop inserted through all the hearts. Very simple. I did recovered the lollipop with different paper for a better look. I wouldn't do that if I were giving these away!

And a big thanks to all the new folks taking time to read our blog. Please don't be shy to post a "hello!"

Our Weekend and a Valentine's Treat
Matt's parents came in a for a visit this past weekend. Here's a group photo from the small downtown area. They have a couple really cute stores in the area.

Sydney got a huge fat lip after falling on our tile floor. This picture really doesn't do it justice - it was a good one.
Now onto the Valentine's treat. Valentine's Day crafts and treats are one of my favorites. I just can't resist red, pink, flowers, and hearts. So I'll be posting lots of Valentine's Day goodies and crafts I've made throughout the week - so keep coming back! For today's post, I made some homemade ice cream sandwiches. I bought the sandwich maker a couple years ago from Williams Sonoma. I really should bring it out more than once a year. They are so yummy and gone from the freezer already!Friday, February 08, 2008
The Big Move
Alright, here are some pictures of the big move. We rented a U-haul since we did part of the move ourselves. We make money off of it so a little physical labor goes a long way. Also, I've lost craft stuff when the movers have taken it - one mistake I've learned from. Here's our little helper on the trailer and playing during the move.

Geez Dixie! Yep, those are (I mean "were") clean!
I guess she's worried about us leaving her behind.
We already went to go visit Nonnie and Pa. They are always on the top of the list of people to visit. We all love it there. Sydney was extra spoiled by Pa. Come to think of it, Dixie was too! They have a huge pecan tree in their front yard. Sydney loved to go out there and pick them with Pa. Then, she would hide them in the couch. I think they maybe some still in there! A little surprise for the next person who will sit there. Sunday, February 03, 2008
I'm back!
No, I haven't fallen off the face of the earth! : ) We packed up, hit the road and are finally here. We just received all of our furniture and stuff yesterday along with the internet service! I will be back later this week with pictures.

A New Pair of Earrings
I just have to show off my new pair of earrings my friend, Jess, made me. Aren't they cute? Thanks Jess!

Farfalle Pasta
I had another custom felt food order. She wanted 260 tri-color farfalle (or bow-tie) pasta. I have to say, I love making new felt food for people. It gives me a reason to be creative and sew. I love having finished results too. I think I'm going to make more and put them up in my shop after the move.

A Baby Shower...
So you know what that means...cupcakes and presents!

Say Cheese!
I haven't posted in a few days! I apologize. We have been crazy busy with moving and getting together with all of our friends.
Okay, to a Syd update. We have taught Sydney to smile and say "cheese" when we take a picture. It doesn't always work, but here's a picture with little miss "cheesy" herself!

The Happiest Place on Earth
After almost 3 years of living an hour away from Disneyworld, we finally went! Matt had never been before and it had been a long time for me. We had a fantastic time. We had been hyping Mickey Mouse up to Sydney for a few weeks to get her ready. I think we maybe hyped it up too much. Whenever she saw Mickey Mouse, whether it be on someone's hat or on a bag, she would go nuts. We went to Epcot, Magic Kingdom, and Animal Kingdom. One park for one day. Her favorite ride was Finding Nemo. Matt's favorite ride was the safari ride at Animal Kingdom. It, surprising, wasn't all that crowded too. Her souvenir was an 18" Minnie Mouse stuffed toy. She loves it and takes it in the car when we go places.
In the other big news department, we pretty much have sold our home! We are currently under contract. It sold in just 3 weeks! What an answer to prayer!
Okay, back to our trip. If you like pictures, this is the post for you! : )
The Epcot Ball.
And of course Cinderella's Castle.
The obligatory picture in front of Cinderella's Castle.
Our first meeting with Mickey. Yes, we did see him twice. The line was so short the second time we couldn't pass it up. She would kiss all of the characters she met. It was so cute. And a high five for Goofy.

Nah, not that Goofy! : )
How Sydney rode through the parks.
