The Air Show and a Good Laugh

Matt's parents came in for the weekend. The Air Force Base here had their Air Show.
Now, get ready for a laugh or at least a big smile. You all know about Sydney's car. I've posted lots of pictures of her in it over a period of time on the blog. Well, I don't know what Charlie was thinking, I guess he got a bit jealous of all Sydney's fun.
So then, he actually says "There's got to be a better way of getting in..."
The second attempt.

"Wow, what a luxury car! Nice and Roomy!"

"Okay, just one more time! I wasn't uncomfortable enough the first 2 times!"

Like father like son...

And not to be out done...
Syd starting crying when Charlie sat in her car for the third time. We don't know what set that off! I was literally rolling on the ground laughing. The neighbors got a few laughs out of it too as they walked by! Pretty good time, huh?! : )

Poor Dixie

Good thing she's such a good sport.

Sharing Snacks

Sydney shares so well! She loves to share her snacks with her friends. She does this almost every time. After they each get one, it's "Elmo eat grapes, Ernie eat grapes, Cookie eat grapes!" The things she comes up with!

My Recent Crafting Fury

Lazy Days in the Hammock

Matt finally received his hammock he's been always wanting!

Notice how low to the ground they are! haha.

I've been crafty up a fury over here. I'll hopefully get it all up shortly to show you.

Another weekend in Austin

Well, I guess the title says it all. We went to go visit Nonny and Pa again. It was beautiful weather on Saturday so most of the time Sydney was outside playing.

All I have to say for the next 3 picutres is "Oh Geez!"

Sydney loved it! Dixie, not so much.

Sydney's Craft Time

Aah, she makes me proud!
She also had a huge crying fit when we were done painting. That - I'm not so proud of! : )

Bunny Love

These are my bunnies that I adapted from the previous mice that I made. I'm in love with how cute these little guys are! The humility is just radiating, isn't it!? : )

They are up in my Etsy Shop too.

Sydney's Ride

I know I've show some pictures of Sydney driving around in her car before but I had to show you this. On one of first trips to Walmart after moving back to Texas, Matt picks up this:
And immediately puts it on her car when we get home. I think it's quite funny.

Trips

Since moving back to Texas, we are a lot closer to family and friends. That's mean we have been on the road. Last weekend, we went to Dallas to visit my brother. I don't have any good pictures of Sydney and her cousin, Karalyn, playing together! I'll have to snag some from sister-in-law to share with you guys. We had a good time, I got pretty sick while I was there. We lounged around which was really nice and the girls are just so cute together. When we got back, Syd and I went to visit my bestfriend, Lauren, and her new baby Riley. Riley is just 8 weeks! Sydney was pretty funny, whenever Riley would cry (which didn't happen very much) Sydney would say "Baby, be quiet!" haha. sigh. : )
Here's all of us and Sydney giving Riley a kiss.
So, we are all back home. Enjoying a quiet weekend together. Have a good weekend.

Happy Valentine's Day Crafts

Here was my gift to Matt. These cookies are so good. The recipe is here. I used Nutella for the middle. You all know how much I love Nutella! Matt defintiely agrees with how good and additive they really are.

The next project was from a vintage craft book. These mice remind of the Sylvanian Family animals I used to play dollhouse with when I was younger. I didn't intend for the mice to become like our family, but they did: dad, mom and baby. I am excited to adapt this pattern into rabbits for Easter. Woohoo, Easter crafts! : )

Gift Box

So here is today's craft. It was a bunch of randomness that all came together. I made the flower from an old vintage book. With a few "extras," I decided to put it on a gift box I had. I thought the box was too bland, so then I stamped dots on it and the "enjoy." Poof! Done! Is there anything in the box? No. Is it for anyone in particular? No. It's a just a good ol' craft for absolutely no reason. And for for me, that's the best kind of craft! : )

Also, some of my felt food was sold to a wonderful lady, Tori, who posted about me in her blog yesterday. You can find it here.

Lollipop Flowers

I have seen these in multiple places: Martha Stewart and Better Homes & Gardens. They are just 5 cut-out hearts with a hole punched at the ends and the lollipop inserted through all the hearts. Very simple. I did recovered the lollipop with different paper for a better look. I wouldn't do that if I were giving these away!

My little helper who takes time to stop and smell the flowers! : )

And a big thanks to all the new folks taking time to read our blog. Please don't be shy to post a "hello!"

Our Weekend and a Valentine's Treat

Matt's parents came in a for a visit this past weekend. Here's a group photo from the small downtown area. They have a couple really cute stores in the area.
We also went to the park. Here's Matt and Sydney flying a kite.

Sydney got a huge fat lip after falling on our tile floor. This picture really doesn't do it justice - it was a good one.

Now onto the Valentine's treat. Valentine's Day crafts and treats are one of my favorites. I just can't resist red, pink, flowers, and hearts. So I'll be posting lots of Valentine's Day goodies and crafts I've made throughout the week - so keep coming back! For today's post, I made some homemade ice cream sandwiches. I bought the sandwich maker a couple years ago from Williams Sonoma. I really should bring it out more than once a year. They are so yummy and gone from the freezer already!

The Big Move

Alright, here are some pictures of the big move. We rented a U-haul since we did part of the move ourselves. We make money off of it so a little physical labor goes a long way. Also, I've lost craft stuff when the movers have taken it - one mistake I've learned from. Here's our little helper on the trailer and playing during the move.

Geez Dixie! Yep, those are (I mean "were") clean!
I guess she's worried about us leaving her behind.

Syd playing in the empty new house.

Goodness, she's getting so big. I think she's pretty cute too! : )

We already went to go visit Nonnie and Pa. They are always on the top of the list of people to visit. We all love it there. Sydney was extra spoiled by Pa. Come to think of it, Dixie was too! They have a huge pecan tree in their front yard. Sydney loved to go out there and pick them with Pa. Then, she would hide them in the couch. I think they maybe some still in there! A little surprise for the next person who will sit there.

Alright, now that we're somewhat settled it's off to craft...
Also, a big thanks for all the nice comments about leaving and moving. I've been real slow in responding to emails and checking blogs. So thanks for all the patience and well wishes. I really appreciate all of you.

I'm back!

No, I haven't fallen off the face of the earth! : ) We packed up, hit the road and are finally here. We just received all of our furniture and stuff yesterday along with the internet service! I will be back later this week with pictures.

A New Pair of Earrings

I just have to show off my new pair of earrings my friend, Jess, made me. Aren't they cute? Thanks Jess!
