Some new Easter treats I've made for the shop. My favorite is the "chocolate" bunny.

More Aubrey Pictures
Here's just a couple more new pictures of the baby.

Here she is in a completely homemade outfit with a face of "Come on Mom. Enough already."I have been on a kick of painting onesies. I'll have to show more but I need a couple more days. I don't want to ruin someone's surprise. I still have to share about the leg warmers too. I love them. The tutu - that's just for fun. : ) Have I told you that I love having little girls! Poor little thing has become my new dress up doll.

Happy Thursday
Have everyone been watching the Olympics? I really enjoy watching them. It's very inspiring to see people accomplish their dreams through hard work and determination. Last night we watched Shaun White win the gold in snowboarding. Holy smokes! He just blew the competition away. He's on his own level when is comes to the height and the crazy jumps he does. Incredible. I'd love to hear what you thought if you saw his runs.
Otherwise, just the regular day to day stuff. Laundry, dirty diapers, play tea parties...
Aubrey is starting to grow quickly now. Good thing spring is right around the corner as she'll be in style with unintentional capri pants. : )
And I just have to show you these little sock shoes. I just think they are the cutest things. My sister-in-law, Karen, got them for us. So cute! Little girls are the best.

Valentine's Day Crafts
We've been making some goodies for Valentine's Day for a few weeks now. I am just lumping them together into 1 post because I've been busy with daily life. Everyone knows how that goes.
Here's some sugar cookies with half of them dipped in chocolate. These didn't last long.
The Girls
Here's Aubrey on a flower pillow that I made from an old Amy Butler Pattern. The butterfly pillow was my own addition.
Homemade Goodies
Here's some crafts I've been working on. Some new flower headbands for the girls.

A little post teaser for later this week.
I'm really intimidated by making any type of bread by hand. For some reason, I can never get it to rise properly or get the right consistency. I have tried to make bread bowls before and they didn't turn out at all. They ended up being flat discs. They tasted alright but not what I had imagined. So if at first you don't succeed, try, try again. And just so we're clear, I didn't try it again on the same day. It's been a year or so! Here is a picture of my 2nd attempt. Much better, but still not perfect.
But good enough to hold a cup and a half of Tomato Basil Soup. Yummy.
Here's the recipe to the Bread Bowls. I did make a couple alterations according to what people had suggested in the ratings and reviews. Saturday, February 06, 2010

I'm Running Out of Titles!
I'm running out of titles for my posts. All my posts have a little bit of this and some of that. My blog, just like my brain, is not cohesive. haha. Hey! No mean comments! : )
Let's just start with a new picture of the 1 month old. She is becoming super smiley. This is not her big grin. I have yet to capture that one on "film" (Ahh...technology).

"Olive" You Valentines. They even have their own little packaging - perfect for a little gift. I have a lot of fun making these even though I can't stand the real thing!
Okay, more pictures of the baby! : )Sunday, January 24, 2010

Bellingrath Gardens
Last night, we took a trip over to see the Bellingrath Gardens Christmas Lights display. It was beautiful! The whole gardens were covered in lights and the weather was perfect to walk around to enjoy it. Here's just a few pictures. Unfortunately, it's very difficult to take good pictures of Christmas lights in the dark.
