...well, except a new dessert! It's a chocolate-vanilla oatmeal bar. The recipe is found in this book here. I'll definitely make these again.
So wandering around Target, I found these oh-so-adorable shoes for Sydney. I absolutely couldn't pass these up. They are little peep-toe shoes! I couldn't find a stock photo at target.com, so here is my own picture. I'll be sure to take a full shot with Syd wearing them for next time.
Sydney also needed a new pair of sandals. She grows so fast and I know by the fall (when we move back to warm Florida) she'll be ready for new ones. Here are the ones I bought her. Aren't girl's shoes just so cute - and obviously addicting!
Now, I couldn't let Syd get new shoes by herself - here is my pair! Love, love the red! 
Now, it's time for the new crafts! I haven't been showing a lot of my crafts lately. I pretty much have just been making felt food and everybody can see them in my shop. Business has been great and it's been keeping me busy. I did make this new barrette for Sydney. Basically a flower super-glued onto a barrette. Easy - I love it though. 
It's fashioned after this headband my friend, Amy, made. I met Amy through a spring craft swap - which I don't think I ever shared pictures of my goodies that I received from her. The headband is just one of the goodies I received. So cute. I just love all the other stuff I got too! Thanks Amy!
Now, Martha! I made her this new collar. It's the same concept as Sydney's barrette. It's a new game: What else can Becky put flowers on?! haha. Martha doesn't mind it. It reminds me of a lei! I do like the bright red/pink color against Martha's black fur. Let's just think it makes Martha look more cheery! haha. Now that's a good laugh!
Finally, Karen asked me if I've ever had a cupcake that I didn't like. I thought that was a very good question. So after some pondering my answer is no! I have had some cupcakes that I didn't really care for - they weren't bad, but they weren't all that good. These cupcakes have been ones that I have made from cookbooks and shows I've seen. These are the cupcake recipes that I tried once and won't make them again. I think it's just been about 3 recipes too. I guess you have to have some not-so-good ones to appreciate the excellent ones! : )

Those bars look delish! I'm finally baking again now that I have someone to eat it. And those shoes are so cute - I'm looking forward to those days!

agreed - hard to find a truly horrible cake. I think we need a rating system on cupcakes/cakes. they are all good, so maybe the scale is only 7-10. that way we can tell which ones are better than the others. :) they can't ALL be equally good! so when you say in your blog "that was a really good cupcake - it was a 9" we will really be impressed and rush out to get one! haha you can be the official cupcake tester!

Its nice to see the family all together.. Douglas and I are now on our big family reunion. Looking forward to fun stories!
