So we went to a base play group today. They met at the dog training center and showed the kids what the dogs can do. It was real interesting. It was the first time I've seen a live demo. Syd really liked it too.
They have a number of splash pads here in town. We took Sydney to one today. Here's a few pictures.

She was blissful!

It is so fun to "watch" you explore where we live! It's like discovering it all over again! I ran into Nora at the open gym today (totally fun by the way) - congrats on officially becoming our neighbors!!! Oh, and Matt, Nora told me that there's two half-full kegs that have to be empty by the time the movers come - Neil might need some help with that! See you soon!
That water shot is excellent! Very cool. Syd does look like she enjoys it. ~jen~
I recognize the spray ground. Where did you go to church?
The dog thing looks cool!
I'm impressed with Syd! K hates those water splash parks.
You moved a few weeks too soon. We are having fab weather here!
Talk to you soon,
When we were in Alaska we went to a Sled Dog Camp, and we saw a dog that reminded us of Dixie (yup, that's right a sled dog). So all of these dogs were INSANELY excited to run and pull people in these carts- excpet one had no interest in regular sled dog activities AT ALL. It's job was to model the gear(booties, doggie coats, etc) for all of the tourists. It was cooperative, but did not look amused. We both decided if Dixe was a sled dog, that would definately be her job!
So I am finally settled in my "new" home and am catching up on your life for the last couple of week, (though I hope to talk to you soon to catch up some more). I can't tell you how hard I laughed at the posting of Dixie! It really made my day! I hope you all are doing well. I really miss our afternoons visits and our dance-athons! Look forward to chatting soon!
